We love to write a little summary review of all the venues we have photographed at, and this is a little mini review of our visit to Hazelwood Castle near Tadcaster in North Yorkshire.

Hazlewood Castle - This venue actually has a chapel in the castle. For those who prefer a full civil wedding ceremony, you will use the Old Dining Room which is licensed for civil ceremonies. After the ceremony, you will mingle with loved ones and friends at the Courtyard. The Courtyard at Hazlewood Castle provides a stunning backdrop for your family photographs and couple shots. In fact, the catering staff there will serve your guests Pimms and canapes while you mingle away at The Courtyard. The wedding breakfast is served in The Great Hall which is a very spacious hall, blessed with tall ceilings and stoned walls. Hazlewood Castle is truly known for its quality gourmet food, and with some of England's top chefs there is no surprise why keen budding chefs would pay to attend a day's course there in the hope that they can learn something from their master chefs. In the evening, when the formal celebrations are over, the staff turn the room into a disco area. I have seen live bands play there and I must say that the hall has excellent acoustics. The Flemish Hall is a great place for your guests to have their bar drinks and string quartets tend to be positioned here.

The gardens and the grounds at Hazlewood castle are large, and has loads of scope for both relaxed style couple photographs and for walks in the evening before the first dance.

Other unique features of Hazlewood Castle include Ghost sightings (not for me!), their well talked about Restaurant Anise, and have well furnished classic style accommodation for you and your guests.
