We love to write a little summary review of all the venues we have photographed at, and this is a little mini review of our visit to the Sculpture Gallery at the Woburn Abbey.
Woburn Abbey Sculpture Gallery - This is the venue that overlooks the private gardens of the Duke of Bedford and includes a very pictureque lake.
Weddings at the Sculpture Gallery takes place at the Lantern and Long Harness Rooms. We were very impressed with the Temple of Liberty, in particular the grand Roman pillars and fine sculptures which make it a truly memorable setting for the ceremony. The full length windows allow soft natural light to come through, and are great for some stunning portraits and ceremony images.
After the ceremony, the guests mingle outside the Courtyard and the Rose gardens where post-reception drinks are served. The lake provides a lovely setting for pictures. During the evening, before the first dance, we find guests taking strolls around the lake and in the massive deer park (just be careful of the deers!).
We recommend this venue for its very unique setting, we love the interiors best of all as the long hall and corridor provide for some great images. The memorable point for most of our weddings at the Scupture gallery is where the wedding cake is placed. We shall say no more as you will have to see our wedding in the gallery to know just what we mean.
Other venues in Woburn that are worth considering include The Safari Lodge at Woburn Safari Park, Woburn Golf Club, and The Inn at Woburn.
